Started in 1900, what is now known as Chesapeake Bank has had many locations and even a floating branch, but has always remained grounded in the Northern Neck of Virginia. We’ve grown up a lot since then, and we now have 16 locations serving the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, Williamsburg, Richmond and Chesterfield.
When we say that we’re proud to be part of the communities we serve, we really mean it. Each year, Chesapeake Bank employees donate thousands of hours to volunteer in the regions where we are located. Some say they are community-minded, but we put action behind those words.
Chesapeake Bank offers some of the very best service in the region, and we have technology to serve our customers as well. In addition to serving consumers and corporate customers, we have three specialty lines of business. Those division are Chesapeake Wealth Management, Chesapeake Payment Systems, and Flexent.
All of this put together is why we say that we “go beyond banking.” We believe that banking is not the most important thing we do. It’s about people helping people reach their goals and making the community stronger for all of us.
