About Us

The Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck is a Non-profit 501(c)3 corporation established in 1965. We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.

We rely totally on donations, memberships, grants, fundraising activities, and our thrift shop to help the animals.

We are not affiliated with any shelters, and we receive no funding from any county or state governments.

We serve the following Northern Neck counties: Lancaster, Northumberland, Westmoreland, and Richmond County.

Mission

Reduce pet over population through spay/neuter programs; Promote respect and compassion for all creatures through humane education; Relieve the suffering of animals; Prevent cruelty to animals; Provide veterinary care for stray or injured animals; and Seek quality homes for unwanted dogs and cats.
